Rachel is the Co-Artistic Director of our Showgroup and Showgroup Coordinator. She began her dance training at Dancensations from age 3 to 18, under the direction of Pat Hawkes & Gloria Hampton. She received additional training from Troy D. Brown and the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Rachel attended the University of Virginia, receiving her BA in Psychology and her Masters of Education with an endorsement in preK-12 School Counseling. She is recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor.
Rachel has been teaching and choreographing for Dancensations for over 10 years, receiving numerous choreography awards at regional and National competitions. Her students have won Regional & National Titles, earned scholarships, and opportunities to tour and assist on national touring companies. Teaching and creating is her passion and she considers herself so fortunate to work with the amazing dancers in her DDC family.
Rachel is certified by the Youth Protection Advocates in Dance.
