VAL TAGUDING

VAL TAGUDING has worked in the entertainment field as an actor, singer, dancer, model, magician, director, and choreographer. He graduated from Towson University with honors, where he was a nationally ranked gymnast. As captain of the gymnastics team, he held the school All-Around record as well as team records. Voted as the team's most valuable player, he also received Towson University's coveted Junior Scholar Athlete, Senior Scholar Athlete, and Senior Athlete of the Year Awards.

Val is a five year National Acrobatic Dance Champion and a three-time Dance Grand National Champion. At the Showstopper American Dance Championships TV show, he has won the Top First Place Award and the Overall High Score Award three consecutive years in a row.

Val has performed around the world and has toured across the nation, including the white house, the Kennedy Center, Wolftrap, the National Theater, Disneyworld, the Waldorf Astoria in New York, the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas, and Hawaii. He danced on the hit television show Star Search, was a featured dancer on the Piazza (main) stage at the World's Fair in Brisbane, Australia, and modeled in Fashion magazine.

Val was the choreographer for the Army Soldier Show World Tour of "Celebrations." He also directed and choreographed "Go for the Gold," a gymnastics and diving show for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. He was the television co-host for the 1998, 1999, and 2000 Showstopper American Dance Championships TV shows.

Val was eleced by his peers as the 1999-2000 "Dance Educator of the Year." He has worked as a master clinician in dance and acrobatics for regional and national dance affiliations, and has judged for Dance Educators of America, Dance Masters of America, Showstopper American Dance Championships, and Starpower World Dance Championships.
