JENNA HIDE was born in Washington, D.C., and has been teaching hip-hop, jazz, and tap for seven years. She has danced at the Kennedy Center with the Dance Theatre of Harlem Residency Program, has been awarded Regional Outstanding Dancer award at New York City Dance Alliance, and recently received the Innovative Choreography award for Madison High School in the National Dance Alliance in Orlando, FL.
Moving to New York at age 18, she became an assistant hip-hop, jazz funk, and video teacher at Broadway Dance Center for Bev Brown. She appeared in a reggaeton music video by artist Nova and choreographed for an up and coming artist, Sanatra. Jenna has also choreographed for Capitol Movement Projects’ performance at the 25th Anniversary Radio One Award Show in Washington, D.C., and appeared in the movie Step Up 1. In 2002 and 2006 Jenna toured Beijing, China, where she performed in the Beijing International Cultural Festival and other various venues.
Jenna is presently a member of X Faction, a professional dance company in Washington, D.C. She especially enjoys choreographing and teaching hip-hop to local dance studios and gyms in Northern Virginia and believes the best therapy in life is DANCE!!!
