KAITLYN POTTS is currently a senior in high school, and has attended Dancensations Dance Center for the past seven years, where she has been trained in ballet, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, modern, and tap. She has also trained at the Maryland Youth Ballet, Kirov Academy of Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre, where she was chosen as an American Ballet Theatre National Training Scholar for the years 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. Kaitlyn has received numerous scholarships to programs such as Texas Ballet Theater, Nevada Ballet Theater, Joffrey New York, Washington Ballet, and Interlochen School of the Arts. In 2007, she was asked to join the American Dance Team to attend the Prix de Italia, and received a special invitation to perform a classical variation in the International Young Ballet Medal Winners Performance at the XXII Miami International Ballet Festival, where she performed in September, 2007. Kaitlyn has received numerous regional, national, and international awards in competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix, the American Ballet Competition, Dance U.S.A., Starpower Talent Competition, Legacy Dance Championships, New York City Dance Alliance, and the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts’ youngARTS Program.
