JACQUELYN POTTS has been directing Dancensations Dance Center's Summer Camps for the last five years. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts Degree in the Department of Modern Dance at the University of Utah where she is on scholarship, teaches undergraduate dance courses, and performs regularly with Performing Dance Company.
Born and raised in northern Virginia, Jacquelyn began dancing at a young age and continues to follow this passion. She has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, gymnastics, and drill team and has enjoyed teaching these styles to children. She has been teaching dance for several years and continues to find inspiration from young dancers. Jacquelyn attended the College of William and Mary where she received a Bachelor of Science double major in Kinesiology and Interdisciplinary Studies in Dance Performance. She was a performer and choreographer in two dance companies while at William and Mary. Jacquelyn has been commissioned to choreograph dances for several high school dance teams, and has won numerous choreography awards for her work. She looks forward to pursuing a career in the dance field.
